Planned for Sunday 4 August 2019!
Would you like to enjoy stunning beach views, fantastic company, great food AND help others at the same time?
Then Walk My Way QLD is for you!
We’re planning a 24km Walking Challenge along the coast in August 2019 (permits pending), starting at Good Shepherd Lutheran College in Noosa.
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set off along the track.
You’ll walk along bike paths, board walks, coastal forest, and some of the best beaches in the world…
…before arriving at Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum, for a Finish Line Celebration!
There’ll be buses to take you to and from the start and finish, so you can leave your car at either end…
…or why not make a weekend of it and stay at Luther Heights. They’re planning to offer bargain accommodation for all Walkers!
As you walk, you’ll be changing the lives of refugee children in countries like Kenya and Somalia by supporting them to go to school.
You’ll help children like little Eugenie, who has big dreams for her future. Read Eugenie’s story
You can even bring a team of students and teachers from your school.
What a great way to bring your school community together to help others!
In 2017, 270 people braved the cold and rain to walk through the Adelaide Hills in the first ever Walk My Way. They’ll be doing it again in April…
… but we reckon Queenslanders will give the South Australians a RUN for their money!
Let’s make it bigger, better – and warmer – than SA!
IMPORTANT: we’re still waiting on permits, so the Walk isn’t confirmed yet. You can register your interest by emailing Kirra at walkmyway@alws.org.au
Walk My Way is part of The GRACE Project, aiming to help 40,000 refugee children go to school in 2019!
