LWF Burundi
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the unwavering support and partnership extended by AWLS to the Lutheran World Federation’s Burundi Country Program. Over the past years, AWLS has played a pivotal role in improving the livelihoods and climate resilience of more than 4800 households ( with an average of 6 people in a household in Burundi) across the Cankuzo and Ruyigi the poorest provinces in Burundi, Your contributions have been instrumental in the success of our programs, providing long-term support to those in need.
Thanks to AWLS, we have been able to reach displaced persons returning to Burundi, offering them hope, future and opportunities for rebuilding their lives. A particularly impactful result of our collaboration has been the strengthening of agricultural cooperatives. This support has enhanced access to vital seeds and agricultural inputs, empowering families to increase food production and secure enough to sustain their households, ensuring they can enjoy three meals a day.
I wish you a happy 75th anniversary and let you know that am deeply moved by the tangible difference we have made together, and I look forward to continuing our work with AWLS, striving to create lasting positive change for the people of Burundi.
Sincerely,
