Dignity and freedom

Sanitary items aren’t readily available for women and girls in South Sudan.

This means girls are treated as unclean, and forced to stay home from school, missing up to 1 1% of their education every year.

Your Gift of Grace can provide 4 re-usable Afri-pads for teenage girls in school.

These are made by local women and will last about 2 years. (In the picture, you can see Afri-pads being sewn in Djibouti).

The benefits are many:

  • cost-effective
  • an income for local women
  • better for the environment than disposable

... and most importantly, dignity and freedom for girls who have suffered so much.
