50 Hot Meals

Food for 50 friends

When refugees arrive at Kakuma in Kenya, they are tired, hungry and scared. They have fled conflict and drought, and have often walked for days or even weeks.

Just as you might take a casserole to a friend in need here in Australia, you can care for our far-away friends by welcoming them with hot, nourishing meals.

Your meals are provided during the 10 days people spend at the Reception Centre recovering from their journey and being settled into camp.

They are assessed for any trauma they may have suffered, and are set up with the basics for housing – bedding, mosquito nets, clothes and household utensils.

Your Gift of Grace can help provide meals for 50 people.
