Schools - Action Now

There are many opportunities for schools to become actively involved in making the world a better place.
Refugee Camps
Let your students walk in the shoes of refugees for a couple of days. Challenge them to look outside their comfort zone. For students who cannot participate in the refugee camp, get them involved in giving up something else for the three days – so many possibilities!
Gifts of Grace
Get your school involved in gift giving that really makes a difference! Homegroups can put money together to purchase gifts from the catalogue and change the lives of people in need. Teachers can suggest families buy a gift of grace instead of purchasing another box of chocolates! Encourage gift giving that is meaningful, while at the same time, students can learn about long-term, sustainable development.
Organising small groups
Awareness Day and Awareness Week activities often make students passionate about making a difference. Facilitate a group of passionate students who meet each week in a lunch time, and let students discuss information sheets and challenge them about how they can teach this to other students in the school.
Village Partnerships
An exciting way for congregations, schools and individuals to make a lasting impact in people’s lives is by partnering a village in Cambodia, which is a part of the overall Cambodia program. You’ll enjoy:
- a real connection with a developing community
- a new way to bring your church community together
- the exciting chance to show others church in hands-on service
Partnerships with Overseas Countries
If your school is ready to be part of life changing development through purposeful education and service, then you may want to take the next step of partnering with a country or region within a country.
