Lost homes, lost hope
Your frontline Lutheran-supported team report that 800,000 people have been forced from their homes.One victim, Grandma Akuol, told your team:
“I have been trying to put a dyke around my home, but I am exhausted given my age. I have lost hope.”
Grandma Akuol is looking after two grandchildren, after their mother died giving birth. Children and the elderly are among those in greatest danger.
